TRAI NEW RULES Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the date for channel selection by subscribers. Now users will be able to choose their favorite channels by March 31. Under the new rules of TRAI, users must pay only those channels which they want to see. Now with every channel, its MRP has been given. New rules were issued by TRAI on December 29, 2018. Earlier, TRAI gave time to the users to select the channels according to their January 31st.
TRAI NEW RULES has stated that so far 65 percent of the 100 million cable service subscribers and 35 percent of 67 percent DTH subscribers have switched the plans. Earlier, a report had revealed that due to the new rules of TRAI, users’ cable bill will be more than ever before. However, TRAI Chairman R.S. Sharma dismissed fact and said cable bills of the users will soon be reduced.
TRAI new rules will not increase TV Bill, says Dev Kumar
TRAI’s Principal Advisor for Broadcast and Cable Services Dev Kumar had said that TRAI Chairman R. S. Sharma had a press conference. In this conference, R. S. Sharma has dismissed the fact that the new framework will increase the user’s monthly TV bill. He said that the report is being shown in the report by adding channels of Tamil, Telugu, Bengali etc. languages and it is being said that this will increase the monthly TV bill of users. But, if seen, no user can see so many Indian channels. No one user will have knowledge of all languages. There is no need to pay them so many channels. If the user only takes the same channel that he sees right in, then he will not be charged much.
TRAI NEW RULES inform some people have faced difficulties in subscribing to the channels or channels being provided by the operators. For this, TRAI has launched a web application with the help of which users are able to select the channel without any hassle. At the same time, different operators have also released their combine plans.
