System Restore is a Windows feature that can help fix some kinds of crashes and other computer problems. Here’s how it works, how it is set, and when things get worse, how to use it.

We are going to use Windows 10 in this article, but System Restore has been around a long time – and works the same way in every version of Windows. Here are the instructions for Windows 10, but in Windows 7 and 8, there will be only slight differences in this whole process.

What is System Restore?

System Restore is a feature in Microsoft Windows that allows users to return their computer status (including system files, installed applications, windows registry, and system settings) back to the previous point of time, which is used by the system Can be done to recover from malfunction or to solve other problems.

This feature was first included in Windows ME, excluding Windows Server, it has been included in all desktop versions of Windows released.

When something goes wrong on your system as a result of some bad parts of the software – perhaps an app you installed, or a driver who has broken something important – it radjay pharmaceuticals can be difficult to fix it. System Restore lets you get your Windows installation back to its last working position.

Restore points

For this, it always makes some “restore points”. Restore points are snapshots of your Windows system files, some program files, registry settings and hardware drivers. It also creates a major system event such as a new device driver, app install, or a restore point just before running Windows Update.

Then, if something goes wrong, you can run the system restore and can indicate it on the recent restore point. It will restore the system settings, files and drivers again, which will return your built-in Windows system to that previous position.

It can be really useful when troubleshooting certain types of problems. For example, if you install a device driver that makes your computer unstable, then you would like to uninstall that driver. However, in some cases, the driver may not be uninstalled properly, or when you uninstall it, the system may harm the file. If you use System Restore and select the restore point created before installing the driver, then it can restore your system files to the previous state before your problem arises.

Windows Restore may actually be useful to reduce the damage caused by the Malicious app or Windows Update. Occasionally, applications and updates can cause problems. With other apps or even system components, and simply uninstalling the app cannot cause the damage to be overturned. Restoring to a point before the application is installed, however, can often clean-up the problem.

Does System Restore Affect My Personal Files?

System Restore is different from making backups – this works especially on built-in Windows systems, instead of all files on your hard drive. As such, System Restore does not save the old copies of your personal files as part of your snapshot. When you restore, it will not delete or replace any of your personal files. So do not rely on system restore while working as a backup. This is the reason why it does not have to happen. You should always have a good backup process for all your personal files.

Are other apps installed from PC to System Restore affected?

When you restore your PC to the earlier restore point, any app installed by you  uninstall after that point. All apps before that restore point will remain the same. With this, any apps that you uninstall re-install in the restoration process after creating the restore point.

Since System Restore only restores certain types of files, programs restore often do not work or at least do not work properly unless you run their installers again.

Windows lets you see which programs will affect when you pass through this process. But restoring the most recent restore point to reduce problems with the app is a good idea. It is also a good idea to manually create a restore point before changing big installation or settings. So that you can know that you can come back to the recently created points if needed.

Can System Recovery Remove Viruses or Other Malware?

System restore is not a good way to remove viruses or other malware. Since Malaysian software usually spread to all types of places on a system, you can not trust system restore that malware
